Record High Attendance for Oskaloosa High School Soccer

The crowd size continues to grow at the Lacey Complex stadium for high school girls soccer

Oskaloosa, Iowa – Friday night, May 18th, much cheering could be heard as the Oskaloosa High School Girls Soccer team took the field at the Stadium for their last regular home game this season at Lacey Recreation Complex. The game brought record high attendance as 363 fans came to cheer the girls! It was senior night and youth soccer night at the stadium. Parents escorted senior players onto the field at the beginning of the game and near 200 youth soccer players and coaches were introduced at half time. There was definitely Oskaloosa Spirit evident at the games as the boys soccer team cheered “Go Osky!” in words as well as in writing! The girl players stepped up the game to the cheering but ended with a loss of 0 to 1 against Washington. “The boys cheering for us is great!” said a varsity player following the game, “They help keep us motivated.” The boys play Monday May 21 at the stadium and the girls will play the last season game away at Newton on Tuesday.
