Rain Cancels Classic

Softball Classic cancelled due to weather.

Saturday, June 7th, Oskaloosa High School girls softball held their annual Oskaloosa Classic Softball Tournament hosted at the Lacey Recreation Complex. Sixteen schools showed up to the tournament but few actually played. After the first set of games the tournament was called off due to weather, sending disappointed fans and players running for cover. Luckily the Oskaloosa Freshmen team was able to complete their game before the storm rolled in. They faced the Pella Freshmen and won 5-4. Earlier this week the Oskaloosa Boy’s 9th grade baseball team also used the Lacey Babe Ruth Fields to compete against Pella.
