Quincy Sweeps Dual Meet with Grinnell
GRINNELL, Iowa — Quincy University’s depth and top-end speed proved decisive on Saturday as the Hawks swept both the men’s and women’s dual meets against Grinnell College inside the Russell K. Osgood Pool.
The Quincy men claimed a 185–75 victory, while the women topped the Pioneers 158–103 in a competitive early-season matchup featuring several standout swims from both programs.
Men’s Recap
Grinnell sophomore Aidan Donovan delivered one of the day’s highlights for the Pioneers, capturing the 100-yard freestyle in 46.92 seconds, edging Quincy’s Victor Abram by a narrow margin. Freshman Spencer Pfaff also broke through with a strong win in the 100-yard butterfly at 51.41, just .06 seconds ahead of Quincy senior Martiniano Montero.
