Patricia Latcham-McMorran, 84, of Knoxville, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Knoxville Hospital in Knoxville, Iowa. She was born on March 17, 1936 the daughter of Oscar and Lucille (Epperson) Hamilton in Hannibal, Missouri.
Patricia attended New Sharon High School and graduated with the Class of 1953.
On June 30, 1953 she was united in marriage to Donavon Latcham in New Sharon. To this union 7 children were born, Deborah, Mike, Steve, Timothy, Mindy, Scott and Melissa. Patricia and Donavon later divorced.
On September 30, 1984 she was united in marriage to Bill McMorran in Nashua, Iowa. Bill passed away in February of 1999.
Patricia was a homemaker before going to work for McDonalds in 1978 as a hostess and in their Public Relations department. She later took a job in Working Phones and later APAC in Oskaloosa as a manager in 1982.
She was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church in New Sharon and later in Oskaloosa. Patricia was a very talented singer. She sang in the church, at weddings and was a member of several different local music groups. Patricia loved to sew and made all of her children’s clothes when they were growing up. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, watching NASCAR and the Iowa Hawkeye games, especially basketball and had a special love for puppies and cats. Her real joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her family includes her children: Timothy (& Susan) Latcham of Tracy, Mindy (& Dan) Boender of Oskaloosa, Scott (& Jana) Latcham of Oskaloosa and Melissa (& David) Hendrix of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Connie (& Ralph) Long in Springfield, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McMorran; a daughter, Deborah Latcham (in infancy), two sons, Michael Latcham and Steven Latcham; two grandsons, Josh Latcham and Adrian Latcham; a brother, Donald Hamilton; and a sister, Beverly Parmenter.
As was Patricia’s wish, her body will be cremated and services will be held at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
