On Friday April 8, 2016, officers from the Oskaloosa Police Department responded to South Side Storage located at 118 9th Avenue East regarding suspicious items being found on the property. Officers conducted an investigation into the suspicious items and found that the items were stolen from two of the storage units on the property. Officers also located Robert Leon Corcoran III age 36 from Oskaloosa on the property.

As a result of the investigation, Robert Leon Corcoran III, was arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd degree a class D felony, one count of Possession of Firearms/Ammunition as a felon a class D felony, Trespass a simple misdemeanor, Possession of Burglary Tools an aggravated misdemeanor, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs a serious misdemeanor, Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp a class D felony, and Possession of Controlled Substances 2nd Offense an aggravated misdemeanor.

It should be noted a criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
