Oskaloosa High School Choirs to Perform Annual Madrigal Dinner Shows
Oskaloosa, Iowa – “Dinner and a show, don’t miss it!” is one parents response to the upcoming Madrigal event in Oskaloosa.
Oskaloosa High School Vocal Arts program presents the 2012 Madrigal dinner shows that are a mixture of skits, dinner, and much music in this Renaissance themed event. Show dates are Friday December 7th and Saturday December 8th at 7pm, and a matinee Sunday December 9th at 1:00 pm.Performances will be at the Musco Technology Center on the campus of William Penn University.
The Oskaloosa High School Madrigal troupe, Chamber choir, and Concert choir will sing and perform in the show. The OHS Chamber Orchestra will also perform during the dinner.
“Madrigal is a fun, spirited, and entertaining dinner show presented by around 100 high school students who practice for many weeks every year to bring superior entertainment to the community. We are blessed that the high school has such a program and fortunate to have a dedicated choir director that puts in the time to have the choirs ready to perform a show of high quality that our community can take pleasure in, right here in our own neighborhood. I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy, and even participate in this dining and entertaining performance!” said Michaela Barrett, one of the many vocal booster parents that helps organize this event.
