Oskaloosa Girl Scout Leaders win Teamwork Award‏

Several members of the Oskaloosa Girl Scout organization were honored recently with the Girl Scout Teamwork Award.

The award, presented at the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa Annual meeting held March 18 at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, recognizes Girl Scout organizations that have two or more members who exemplify what it means to work together as a team.

Oskaloosa leadership members receiving the award were Sandi Tucker-Stanbro, Brandi Allen, Dixie Tucker, Stephanie McAdoo, Kristina Playle, Dori Massey, Crystal Mullins and Becky Sidebottom. Recipients were nominated by leaders and parents and were recognized for a 2011 Just Desserts Auction that raised nearly $2,000 to offset camp fees for Oskaloosa Girl Scouts.

The Just Dessert Auction was so successful, it has become an annual event.
