Oskaloosa Community Gardens Kick Off

Are you interested in learning about the various community gardening sites in Oskaloosa? You can learn more Thursday April 7 at 6 pm at the Mahaska County Extension office, 212 North I Street, Oskaloosa. All community gardening site facilitators will be there to answer questions about their sites. This sites and facilitators include: New Hope, Blaine Vos; OCSD Glendale, Ron Van Heuvelen; William Penn, Marsha Riordan; Lifeforge, David Steinbrun; and OCSD FFA Learning Garden, Bret Spurgin.

In addition to community garden facilitators, attendees will be able to “Ask a Master Gardener” their gardening questions with ISU Extension horticulture information available. There will be gardening activities for the kids attending.
