Norma Ruth Webber, age 89, of Albia, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019, under the care of Care Initiatives Hospice, at North Mahaska Specialty Care in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Norma was born on December 16, 1929, in Tabor, IA, to Merrill and Dorothy (Rider) Shamblen.

She married Marvin C. Vore on October 1, 1949. To this union they were blessed with 3 sons: Marvin, David, and Michael. Marvin C. Vore passed away on January 18, 1972. On July 6, 1974, Norma was united in marriage to Frederick Wayne Smith. Wayne Smith passed away on October 7, 1991. On July 26, 1995, Norma married Ralph C. Webber. Ralph passed away on May 29, 2013.

Norma is survived by her 3 sons and their wives: Marvin (& Joan) Vore of Hudson, IA, David (& LuAnn) Vore of Albia, IA, and Michael (& Shirley) Vore of Oskaloosa, IA; a brother, Roy (& Carol) Shamblen of San Antonio, TX; and her 11 grandchildren: Owen (& Desiree Rouse) Vore, Jason Vore, Jeffrey (& Jamie) Vore, Josh (& Lindsey) Vore, Micah (& Michelle) Vore, Abram (& Keele) Vore, Jim (& Michelle) Campbell, Rob (& Stephanie) Campbell, Mendy (& Lance) Edgar, Natalie (& Travis) Sipes and Anthony (& Kayla) Alberts. She was also blessed with 30 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Merrill and Dorothy Shamblen; 2 sisters and her brother; her husbands: Marvin, Wayne, and Ralph; a granddaughter, Sarah Ruth Vore; and a granddaughter-in-law, Amy Vore.

Norma loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She cherished her family and many friends.

Per Norma’s wishes, her body has been cremated.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Council Bluffs, IA.
Memorials have been established to the Albia Public Library or to Care Initiatives Hospice of Albia.
