“No-Shave November” Benefits Hospice Serenity House

The Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office has wrapped up it’s 2019 “No-shave November” charity fundraiser. The charity selected to receive this year’s donations is the Hospice Serenity House, located on the campus of Mahaska Health Hospital. This year’s campaign raised $2,415.00 for the Serenity House. The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the following employees for participating in this fundraiser: Deputy Jesse Sanders, Deputy Ben Johnston, Jail Administrator Larry Septer, Reserve Deputy Joe Goemaat, Jailer J.R. Draughn, Deputy Doug McMillan, Jason Voss (husband of Jailer Ralisa Voss) and Sheriff Russ Van Renterghem.

Fifty businesses and individuals donated to the fundraiser.
