NM Second at Keota
KEOTA – For the second meet this week North Mahaska earned the runnerup spot in a triangular golf meet. The Warhawks played at Keota with the hosts winning 168 to North Mahaska’s 184. Iowa Valley was a distant third with a 208.
Keota’s Cole Kindred was the medalist shooting a 40. Caden Sprouse, Sawyer Stout and North Mahaska’s Brock Walkup tied for second with a 41. Sprouse earned the runnerup medal on the card-off.
Nash Smith and Nolan Andersen each shot a 47 for North Mahaska and Jaxon VanderVeer was fourth with a 49. Playing but not figuring into the scoring were Trace Goemaat with a 51 and Jack Kelderman with a 53.
NM golfers will travel to Brooklyn on Monday and hosts Tri-County Thursday.
