NJCAA Announces 2019 Football All-America Teams

Charlotte, NC – The 2019 NJCAA Football All-America teams were announced by the National Office on Tuesday morning. Selected by the NJCAA Football Committee, 75 individuals garnered prestigious postseason accolades.

National champion Mississippi Gulf Coast received a pair of honors in defensive back Jackie Matthews (First Team) and sophomore quartberback Chance Lovertich (Second Team). National runner-up Lackawanna (PA) garnered an NJCAA-best eight selections, including three first team honorees, followed by seven overall individual honors for No. 4 Iowa Western.

Georgia Military placed three individuals on the first team, including sophomore wide receiver Torenio Davis. Trinity Valley (TX) earned two first team nods that included sophomore kicker Eddie Godina who recently broke the NJCAA single-season record for made field goals in a season.

Sophomore quarterback Parker McNeil of Navarro (TX) was named to the first team for the second consecutive year. Iowa Central’s DaQuan Cross earned first team honors at linebacker after being selected to the Honorable Mention team as a freshman.
