Ness Ends Career as Scholar-Athlete
Oskaloosa–David Ness (Sr., Purcellville, Va., Frederick CC) was honored for his excellence in the classroom as he was named a 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athlete.
Ness, who majors in business management, owns a 3.65 Grade Point Average. It is his first national academic award. The NAIA announced that 259 baseball players were awarded the laurel.
To be eligible, athletes must be of at least junior academic standing, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have attended the nominating institution for at least one full academic year.
