Narcisse makes last minute campaign stop in Osky
Gubernatorial candidate Jonathan Narcisse passed through Oskaloosa on his second swing through Iowa’s 99 counties. Narcisse discussed several different including education and job creation. When asked about his plan for education Narcisse responded candidly “We actually have an extensive education reform plan that gets rid of a lot of the beaurocracy. I won’t go deeply into it in depth but at the end of the day, we fire about 12,000 beaurocrats because we believe that education is going to be best when its local.” Narcisse also went on to explain how parents will get more local control over their district. “Under our plan, parents will decide where the kids go to school.”
Narcisse was also questioned about if he plans to create jobs if elected “That’s not the governor’s job. The governor’s job is to create small, accountable, efficient government.” At the end of the event, Narcisse passed around a hat and asked for people to please consider throwing in some money to help cover expenses for the campaign. Election day is this Tuesday and Narcisse is on the ballot under the Iowa Party. The polls are open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM
