Oskaloosa–Silvia Munoz (So., Paramount, Calif., Elementary Education) was a major factor in William Penn’s offense two weeks ago and for her efforts she garnered her first career Midwest Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award.

Munoz helped the Statesmen (now 5-4) to lopsided wins over Friends (Kan.) and Benedictine-Springfield (Ill.) and had a foot in almost every score.

Against Friends, she assisted on all three goals off of corner kicks she footed, while against Benedictine-Springfield, the sophomore tallied two goals and two assists. All five of her assists were via corner kicks.

For the year, Munoz has two goals with six assists and is tied for second on the team with ten points. The award is the first for WPU this year.
