Movie on the Barn “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey”

Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Friends of Mahaska County Conservation is hosting another Movie on the Barn at Caldwell Park this Saturday, July 14. So bring your family,friends and some blankets and lawn chairs out to the park for a fun evening to watch this month’s feature “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” (Rated G). The movie will begin at dark. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. The Friends of Mahaska County Conservation will be selling popcorn, candy, water and pop in the Snack Shack.

This movie is about three pets (Chance, a young dog unfamiliar with the world; Shadow, an aging, wise dog; and Sassy, a snobby cat) are left behind when their family goes on vacation. unsure of what happened, the animals set out on a quest to find their family. This journey across America is very dangerous and the animals risk never seeing their masters again. The group of pets travel across forested mountains and areas of wide-open countryside, while their family searches for them in the same areas.
