The Iowa State University Extension Master Gardeners of Mahaska County are hosting a Laura DeCook, Naturalist for the Mahaska County Conservation Board, will be presenting about “Monarchs in Migration” beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12. Her talk will lead us through the life cycle of the monarch buttery and its migration to Central Mexico each year. Laura will highlight some of the challenges the monarchs face in surviving their migration route in the United States and in Mexico. She will share some ideas of what people can do at home to ensure the survival of these magnificent butterflies.

This presentation will be held at the Mahaska County Extension Office. It is open to public at no charge.
