Middle School Volleyball Teams Battle Osky Christian

The 8th-grade B1 and B2 volleyball teams took on Osky Christian at home last night in a spirited match that showcased some impressive performances, despite both teams falling short in their matches.

The B1 team fought hard but ultimately lost 1-2. After dropping the first two sets with scores of 10-21 and 12-21, they rebounded in the final set, pulling off a 15-8 victory. Standout players included Zoila Keller, who led the team with five aces and a kill. April Potter contributed an ace and three kills, while Zaelyn Claussen added an ace and a kill. Brooke Boertje recorded an assist, and both Yoselin Gonzalez and Lucy Gudith secured a kill each.

The B2 team faced a tough 0-3 loss with set scores of 15-21, 15-21, and 10-15. Leading the way for the B2 group was Bailey Sams, who tallied three aces and two kills. Violet Rust also impressed with three aces and two kills, while Kayin Luckey had three aces and a kill. Other notable performances included Taylor Wissler with an ace and a kill, Alexis Anderson with two aces, and Phylicia Brooks with one ace.

Both teams displayed perseverance and grit throughout the night, and they’ll look to bounce back in their next matchup. All 8th-grade teams will be in action tomorrow as they travel to Norwalk for another exciting round of games.
