Graveside Service: 10 a.m., Tuesday morning, June 19, 2012 at Springfield Cemetery near Delta; family and friends may gather at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel before 9:30 a.m. to form a procession to the cemetery.
Interment: Springfield Cemetery.

Marvin passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on Wednesday afternoon at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 15 days of age.

Marvin Sellers, son of Melvin and Letha Harvey Sellers, was born May 28, 1939 in Delta, Iowa. He attended Delta school. Following his education, Marvin worked for multiple rock quarries in the Delta area. In 1982 he moved to Pineville, Missouri where he worked as an end loader operator for Roberts Soil Company. He retired in 2004. Marvin then moved back home to Delta where he lived with his brother Raymond for a year. In 2005 he moved to Crystal Heights Care Center. Marvin enjoyed the outdoors, particularly mushroom hunting.

Marvin’s family includes his four children: Neal Sellers of Thornburg, IA, Angel Sellers of Oskaloosa, Mary Sellers of Iowa City and Brent Sellers of New Sharon; three brothers: Chester, Jimmie, and Larry Sellers; and two sisters: Dorothy Pugh and Ann Dale.

Besides his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by three brothers: Donald, Robert and Raymond Sellers; and two sisters: Mildred Dannels and Viola Fowler.

Memorials may be made in his name.
