Margie Beth Graham, age 65, of Oskaloosa, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at her home in Oskaloosa surrounded by her family. Margie was born on August 28, 1954, the daughter of Willis Ray and Rita Lucille (Dingman) Garman.

Margie attended Oskaloosa High School and graduated with the Class of 1972.

On August 4, 1973, Margie was united in marriage to Paul Graham at the Rose Hill Community Church.

Following her graduation from high school, Margie worked as a Candy Striper in care facilities. After she and Paul were united in marriage, she went to work for the D.O.T. for 14 years. She also worked as a Med. Tech., primarily at care facilities. She was passionate about the care her patients received. She was working at Jefferson Place in Pella until ill health caused her to retire.

Margie was a faithful supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals and M.A.D.D. She enjoyed flower gardening, decorating her home for each season and holiday, watching her family participate in sporting events, collecting rocks, watching Wheel of Fortune, and taking trips to Hobby Lobby and garage sales searching for bargains. Margie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and wrestling mom, she looked forward to having her family get together so she could fix a meal for them and enjoy each other’s company.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Graham of Oskaloosa; her children: Mathew (& Tara Allen) Graham, Lisa Graham, Brandon Graham and Brady Graham, all of Oskaloosa; 5 grandchildren: Dominic Braida, Kaia Graham, Amaya Graham, Kaiden Parker and Railey Graham; her siblings: Marilyn (& Alan) Coupland of Monroe City, MO, Donna (& Jim) Lockard of Oskaloosa, Billy (& Deb) Garman of Rose Hill and Ronda Wibright of Rose Hill; an uncle, Henry (& Benitta) Garman of Littleton, CO; her aunt, Dottie (& Gary) Long of Camby, IN; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and good friends.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents; 3 children: Melissa Graham and infant twins Michael Graham and Andrew Graham; a nephew, Jesse Owings; a great niece, Kyrstin Lockard; and a great nephew, Jakob Pratt.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with Pastor Mike Sinnett officiating.
Burial will be in The Garrett Cemetery near Delta.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
The funeral service will be live streamed at the funeral home’s YouTube Channel for those wishing to support the family from a distance.
Visitation will begin Thursday after 1:00 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel. The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
