Mahaska Health Partnership Hosts Annual Cholesterol Screening
Joan Padgett of Oskaloosa had her blood drawn by Emergency Services Nurse Jamie Beaumont, RN, BSN, during Mahaska Health Partnership’s annual Community Cholesterol Screening on Feb. 17. According to the American Heart Association, all adults age 20 and older should have their cholesterol checked at least once every five years to help detect indicators for heart disease, heart attack and stroke. MHP offered reduced-rate cholesterol screenings at its Oskaloosa campus and at New Sharon Medical Center in recognition of National Heart Month.
