Mahaska Health Partnership Hosts Annual Cholesterol Screening

MAHASKA COUNTY –Nathan Willey of Oskaloosa had his blood drawn by Brenda Lopez, RN, at Mahaska Health Partnership’s annual Community Cholesterol Screening on Tuesday, Feb. 12. According to the American Heart Association, all adults age 20 and older should have their cholesterol checked at least once every five years to help detect indicators for heart disease, heart attack and stroke. The health system offered reduced-rate cholesterol screenings at its Oskaloosa campus and at New Sharon Medical Center.
