Mahaska Health Partnership Goes Live on Facebook
MAHASKA COUNTY – Mahaska Health Partnership made its social media presence known as the health system unveiled its new Facebook site to the public.
There are currently over 400 million people using Facebook across the globe and MHP officials said they plan to use their new social media presence to provide a sense of community to patients and visitors, encourage and facilitate significant conversation and share valuable health information that is easy to access.
“We know that our patients are using social media, so we need to be using it too,” Cathy Stahl, MHP marketing and development director said. “We are continuing our goal of making healthcare personal by going where our patients are and providing them with information and conversations that they find useful and interesting.”
But what is social media? Social media includes web and mobile-based technologies that provide an opportunity for interactive conversation between organizations, communities and individuals.
MHP is using its new Facebook page to post regular updates on the construction of its new Patient Care Wing, community event reminders and share interesting facts and tips to help community members live healthier lives.
“We want our social media presence to be more than just repeated information you can find on our website,” Stahl said. “People who ‘like’ us on Facebook will enjoy specialized content and a voice in our conversations.”
Stahl encourages you to visit the new MHP Facebook Page to ‘like’ the health system at www.facebook.com/mahaskahealth to take advantage of the exclusive promotions, up-to-date information and open forum dialogue.
From now until Sept. 30, register to win a 30-minute massage through MHP’s 30-WIN-30 Giveaway by visiting MHP’s Facebook Page. Fifteen winners will be drawn at random on Sept.17, and the other 15 will be selected on Oct. 1. Official rules are available upon registering.
