Kostric Earns Weekly Honor

Oskaloosa–Aleksander Kostric (Jr., Koper, Slovenia, Sports Management) guided his team to a solid finish last week and for his efforts he was named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Bowler of the Week Monday.

Kostric won his first career laurel by placing 18th out of 281 rollers at the Ebonite Warhawk Open this past weekend. The junior eclipsed the 200-pin mark in five of his six games, highlighted by a 235 in the third round.

For the year, Kostric is averaging 193.3 pins per game in 23 games. He has a season-best game of 277 from back in October.

The accolade is the second for the men’s program.
