Kathy Jean Barnhart, age 57, died October 16, 2024 at Premier Estates of Toledo in Toledo, Iowa. She was born April 3, 1967 to Maurice Dean (Barney) and Nancy Lou (Garringer) Barnhart in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Kathy attended school in Oskaloosa, Iowa and then at Southeast Polk in Des Moines, Iowa and later earned her GED.
She was employed as a telemarketer and later a CNA at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. She lived in the Des Moines area until 2022 when she moved to Marshalltown.
Kathy enjoyed reading and adult coloring books.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
She is survived by her sons, Brandon Barnhart of Bremerton, Washington and Mason Barnhart of Oskaloosa, Iowa; grandchildren; Brother, Brent (Kristi) Barnhart of Oskaloosa; and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
She may have not always made the right choices, but when she wanted to be a good mom, she was a good mom. I hope you’re finally at peace mom. We’re going to miss you dearly. – Brandon and Mason
