John passed away Tuesday evening at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 21 days.

John Alvin Craig, son of Alvin Nelson and Mildred MarieBell Hawkinson Craig, was born March 27, 1931 in Oskaloosa. John attended Oskaloosa schools and then he worked as a handyman and mowed lawns, things he did for most of his life.

His family includes a brother Donald Craig of Oskaloosa; and cousins, Mildred Horn and Lester Mitchel, both of Oskaloosa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside Service: 9 a.m., Friday morning July 20, 2012 at Forest Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Poe of the First Church of the Open Bible officiating. Family and friends are asked to use the North 9th Street entrance for the service.
Interment: Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
