Jeffrey Allen Fisher, age 52, of Oskaloosa, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021, at his home south of Oskaloosa. He was born on April 5, 1969, the son of Charles and Carolyn (Scharff) Fisher in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Jeff attended Fremont High School and graduated with the Class of 1987.
Following high school, he worked various jobs before joining the United States Air Force in 1988. After serving his country, he was honorably discharged from the military in 1995 and then took a job at Vermeer.
In 1996 he was united in marriage to Angela Bush in Oskaloosa. To this union a son Colter was born. Angie and Jeff later divorced.
In 1997, he decided to take his electrical skills that he learned from the Air Force and Vermeer and went out on his own as an electrician. In 2007 he took a job at Winger at which he was still presently employed.
On April 5, 2015, he was united in marriage to Tammy Gowdy in Centerville, Iowa.
Jeff was a member of IBEW 33. He enjoyed fishing, motocross, camping, working on his house and his yard and spending time with family and friends. Jeff was always willing to help friends and family with their projects.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Fisher of Oskaloosa; his parents, Charles “Chuck” and Carolyn Fisher of Oskaloosa; his children: Colter (& Fiancée Shyann Fleener) Fisher of Oskaloosa and Lasaundra Lanphier of Des Moines; four grandchildren: Lanie, Weston, Cherish and Nike; a stepson, Scott Enlow of Ottumwa; a brother, Troy (& Amy) Fisher of Pella; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Elsie Fisher and Ralph and June Scharff.
As was his wish, Jeff’s body will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
