It’s Time for Another Change

The past month I have kicked it into campaign mode. Instead of just writing about how bad our President and other liberal democrats are, I decided to do something about it. So I have been making phone calls, going to events, and knocking on doors to get conservative Republicans elected in 2012. And now that there is less than 100 days left until we hit the undo button on Barack Obama, I have been reflecting how big this election is.
This election will not be just about the Presidency, or the Senate, or the state legislature. No, this election will be about the path that America will take into the rest of the 21st Century. Now many pundits and candidates want to focus on the little issues. They want to make this election about gay marriage, free birth control, or even when Mitt Romney left Bain Capital. Don’t get me wrong, preserving the traditional definition of marriage, and protecting all forms of life is very near and dear to my heart, but America is on the brink of economic collapse.
We all know why America is on the brink of economic collapse. We have a liberal President who believes that the rich isn’t paying enough in taxes and we have President that would rather demonize business owners by telling them they didn’t build their own business than trying to rally them in the middle of a recession. We have a President that promised “Hope & Change” but now it is“Lie & Attack.” While he complains that the Mitt Romney campaign and Republicans are going to outspend him in this election, he has set the record for running the most negative campaign in American history.
He promised to cut a 600 billion dollar deficit in half but ended up doubling that; adding another 6 trillion dollars onto our debt. He promised to end the recession, to lower unemployment, but yet unemployment is still higher than when he took office. He promised to bring in a new era of government – a breath of fresh air, but all we got out of that is more back room deals, with former Bill Clinton administrators, and people that haven’t paid their taxes in years.
Now you can use the same excuse as every democrat and say “you haven’t given him enough time.” Let’s step back a little and look at the big picture. We had George W. Bush for 8 years. Yes he did add 6 trillion dollars to the national debt in 8 years, but the average unemployment rate under his Presidency was 4.7%. Obama has been in office for 3 and ½ years and he has added 6 trillion onto the national debt, he has had no budget in more than 1,200 days, his average unemployment rate is 8-9%, and this is the longest economic recession since the great depression.
To take it into a business analysis; if you take a job as a CEO of a company, and the guy before you had the books completely out of control, it is your job to fix that, and no matter if it was your fault or not you take full responsibility and blame nobody else. If you cannot fix one single problem at all and have hurt the company more in 3, and a half years as the CEO of the company, than should you be fired or given 4 more years to fix it? I think the answer is pretty clear.
President Obama has had enough time to fix this economy, and we have had enough of him destroying it. This is our time in the moment to draw a line in the sand, and to stand up for America. To take back what was lost, to rebuild what was destroyed, to fix what was broken, and to preserve what we have. It is not a choice, but a responsibility to hand down this country better than we found it for the next generation. And as long as Barack Obama is in charge, I don’t believe we can do that. So stand with me to fight for those conservative candidates to that will work non-stop to fix our problems. Stand up for the values that are the bedrock of this country. Finally, fight for this country, because we might not have another chance.
