Herr Wins Championship At The Collegiate Level

OTTUMWA — Jason Herr, an Indian Hills Community College sophomore from Oskaloosa, won the state championship in the collegiate division in the Iowa SCTP State Sporting Clays Championships this past weekend at the Mahaska County Izaak Walton League.
Six Indian Hills shooters competed in the two-day event, shooting 100 targets each day. Herr’s 169 total was the best score in the collegiate division, beating the second-place shooter by five targets.
The Indian Hills sports shooting squad returns to action this weekend at the Iowa SCTP State Skeet Shooting Championships at the New Pioneer Gun Club in Waukee.
