Hamilton is excited about the position changes and how they will positively affect the department.
“Erin has a long track record of vibrancy on both the faculty and coaching side,” he said. “Her understanding of the College and balance in academics and athletics suit her well for this post. I was lucky to work with Erin when I was interim AD and I feel so fortunate that she accepted our offer to fill this position.
“Over the past few years, everyone in our department has viewed Ben as a rising professional in the field,” Hamilton continued. “Having him coordinate all of the NCAA compliance and continue doing facility and game management work fits well with his
professional goals and our departmental needs. I am excited that Ben now has a chance to have a formal hand in our athletic administration.
“During his time at Grinnell, Tim has ably acted as assistant coach and coordinator of our expansive natatorium program,” Hamilton added. “Tim’s aptitude in swimming, which can be seen in the past successes of our teams, should allow him to easily take
over more responsibilities as Erin tackles her new role. I am eager to see Tim blossom in this expanded position.”
