Girls Track Runs Into Stiff Competition At Newton
The girls ran in to some tough competition this meet. With 15 teams in the field and 6 4A school finishing ahead of us there were some great competitors tonight. This is by far the largest meet that we have been involved in this season.
Top finishers were: 3rd for Emma Kelderman in the 400 hurdles, 4th place finishes for Kelderman in the high jump and the Distance Medley Relay (Allen, Wiltse, Kelderman & Coon)
3 personal records were set: Sierra Worthington in the Shot Put, Anniston McDougall in the 3000 m run with a 22 second PR and Marleigh Denburger in the 100 m dash.
The waiting game is now on for Drake Relays qualification. Hopefully sometime on Friday we will know qualifiers.
