Ginger Moffet, 55, of Ottumwa, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at her home in Ottumwa. She was born June 23, 1957 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin and Elizabeth Baxter Moffet. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1975. Following graduation she attended Indian Hills and graduated from there in 1978 as a registered nurse. She worked at the hospital in Moberly, Missouri for several years until moving to Bloomfield. She then worked at Davis County Hospital and a nursing home in Ottumwa until retiring due to poor health. Ginger loved movies, playing cards and other games.
She is survived by her father: Alvin (& Kathy) Moffet of Boone, Iowa; a daughter: Stephanie (& Shawn) Moffet- Goodwin of Bloomfield; a brother: Randy Moffet of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister: Sally (& Michael) Sheresh of Minnesota; a ½ sister: Jacque Moffet of Pleasant Hill; a step dad: Lee Harkins of Albia; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a very special friend: David McMains.
She was preceded in death by her mother; a sister: Pam Turner; her paternal and maternal grandparents; a cousin: Martha; and two nephews.
As was her wish her body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
