Elmore Earns First Weekly Award

Oskaloosa–Tristen Elmore (Fr., Ovied, Fla., Physical Education) produced a pair of winning performances en route to being named Heart of America Athletic Conference Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Monday.
Elmore won his first weekly honor by breaking a school record in one event and qualifying for nationals in another at the Dubuque Sol Butler Classic last Saturday.
The freshman snapped the program high jump mark with a height of 6-11 and then qualified for the second time with a ‘B’ standard long jump of 23-0.75. Both of Elmore’s efforts were winning marks at the Classic.
The honor is the third award for the squad this year.
