On September 24, 2024, the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (EBF) Rockets volleyball team secured an impressive straight-set victory over Davis County with scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-8. The Rockets, ranked 2nd in Class 2A, improved their overall record to 19-2 and their conference record to a perfect 3-0.

Despite a few struggles in the second set, the Rockets came out with a renewed intensity in the third set to decisively take control of the match. Head coach Gladys Genscow praised the team’s ability to rise above mistakes and make key adjustments throughout the match. “We took care of business in the third set for sure. After a not-so-great serving performance in the second set, we increased our intensity and came out with a different mindset. This team does a great job battling back,” she said.
The Rockets will next face Albia in a home conference match on October 1, 2024
