E.B.H.S. BAND EARNS DIVISION I RATING AT STATE

Eddyville-Blakesburg Schools

Eddyville, Iowa – On Saturday, May 5th, the Eddyville / Blakesburg Concert Band earned a division I rating at State Large Group Contest at Albia High School. The EBHS Mixed Chorus also had an excellent performance. Bands and choirs at the contest were evaluated in several categories by a panel of three judges. The music groups were rated on their performances using a scale of 1 through 5. A I rating indicates a superior performance. This is the 18th year in a row that the E.B.H.S Concert Band has earned a division I rating. The EBHS Band is directed by Joe Overton and the EBHS Choir is directed by Andrew Wotherspoon.
