Errol Drew Hatfield, passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 75. Born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on May 11, 1948, to Earl and Joy (Krile) Hatfield, Drew created a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep connection to nature.

Drew married Margaret, the love of his life, on January 15, 1983. Their marital bond went beyond being just partners, as they became each other’s confidante, friend, and pillar of support.

Drew first worked for Comstock Sawmill in Eddyville and then he also did his own logging. Drew retried from B&B Bedding in Oskaloosa after many years of dedicated service, which allowed him to invest more time in his hobbies.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a distinctive mushroom hunter, a keen gardener, and a skilled artist. Drew had a remarkable ability to find joy in the simple things in life and his passion for nature was infectious. He treasured his time spent with friends and family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Drew is survived by his wife, Margaret of Eddyville; sons, Michael and Alex Hatfield; and three granddaughters: Kaleen, Meghan, and Nadia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Joy Hatfield, and one sister, Judith McGilvary. As we remember Drew, we are reminded of the richness and depth of his character. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him.

Drew’s body has been cremated with no formal services.
