Oskaloosa, Iowa – Pete Settimi, Clow General Sales Manager in Oskaloosa, handed the keys to this shiny Ford 4-door pickup truck over to Oskaloosa Fire Chief Mark Neff.

Settimi said this is the second truck the company has donated locally, the first being to the Oskaloosa Police Department. “For years we have been donating our vans to the police department,” Settimi said. Those vans then became D.A.R.E. vans.

Oskaloosa Fire Chief Mark Neff was on hand to accept the keys to the latest addition to the Oskaloosa Fire Department vehicle lineup.

Neff says he sees the truck being utilized extensively. “We don’t have a pickup that we can use at the department,” saying they have brush trucks. The brush trucks are full of gear that is used to help fight field and brush fires. “When we have hose or other equipment that needs hauled back from the fire scene, that really needs to be cleaned up before you put it back on the trucks we’ve been having to use personal vehicles.”

Neff explained that the truck could also be used for some code enforcement, and also general department use.

“Clow was gracious enough to offer this [truck] and I really want to thank them. Companies like this make our lives a lot simpler. It’s going to be a nice asset,” Neff said.
