Deloris Ann Roberts, 69, of Beacon, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at her home. Deloris “Dee” Roberts, daughter of Henry Carl and Janet (Smith) Noble, was born on June 7, 1953, in Battle Creek, MI.

Dee grew up around Vicksburg, MI, and was a 1971 graduate of the Vicksburg High School.

Dee was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jerry Roberts, on May 6, 1972. Mendon, MI, was the location of the wedding and starting point of their lifelong love and devotion to one another.

Dee was a homemaker while residing in Michigan. She moved to Oskaloosa in 1975, where she began her career as a nurse’s aide. Dee shared her kindness and compassion while working at various nursing homes throughout Oskaloosa for many years. She was able to retire in 2021 while leaving a lasting impact on many lives in the community.

Dee’s greatest passion was spending time with her beloved family. Creating memories and sharing special moments remained her most cherished times.

Dee’s family includes her husband of 50 years, Jerry; their children: Todd (& Amie) Roberts of Beacon, IA, Elizabeth Hayes of Phoenix, AZ, and Paul Roberts of Eagan, MN; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Dennis (& Diane) Noble of Michigan, Ron Gerard of Michigan, Beverly Wright, and Barbara Allingham of Pennsylvania; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dee was preceded in death by her son in infancy, Nathan Roberts; her parents, Henry and Janet Noble; her treasured grandchildren in infancy, Julie and James Roberts; and six precious grandchildren in infancy; a brother, Dan Noble; and two sisters, Patricia Noble and Betty Burley.

As was her wish, Deloris’ body has been cremated. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory is entrusted with her final arrangements.
A Memorial Gathering will occur on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from noon to 3 p.m., at the Beacon City Hall (409 Reid Street, Beacon, IA, 52534).
Flowers and memorial contributions can be made to the family and sent to Beacon City Hall on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
