Cohrt’s Walk-off Picture Perfect Ending In Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity)’s Victory Over Norwalk

Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) defeated Norwalk 6-5 on Thursday thanks to a walk-off sacrifice fly. The game was tied at five with Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) batting in the bottom of the eighth when Caleb Cohrt’s sac fly scored one run for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity).

Norwalk evened things up at five in the top of the seventh inning. Josh Pins singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) notched five runs in the sixth inning. Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) put the pressure on, lead by a single by Wyatt Grubb, hit by pitch by Trey Parks, and a double by Aiden North.

Jaden DeRonde earned the win for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). The pitcher lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out four and walking one.

Briley Purcell led things off on the mound for Norwalk. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out ten. CJ Davis threw two and a third innings in relief.

Garrett Roethler started the game for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). The fireballer lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out six

Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) had 11 hits in the game. Aiden North, Logan Hoskinson, Austen Coenen, and Grubb each racked up multiple hits for Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity). North went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Oskaloosa Indians (Varsity) in hits.

DJ Harris led Norwalk with three hits in three at bats. Norwalk was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Aiden Harder had the most chances in the field with 13.
