Coertze Garners Fourth Award of Season

Oskaloosa–Demi Coertze (Jr., Johannesburg, South Africa, Digital Communication) had another strong outing as she was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week Monday.

Coertze earned her fourth weekly award of the year (sixth of her career) by finishing sixth in the 57-player field at the William Woods Invitational.

The junior shot a 156 (77-79) as the only players in front of her were from host William Woods. It was her seventh top-10 performance this year. She powered William Penn to a second-place finish behind the #6-ranked Owls.

For the year, Coertze owns a 78.9 stroke average (low of 74 twice) and has posted nine of her 15 rounds in the 70s.

It is the seventh award for WPU this year.
