Oskaloosa–Demi Coertze (Sr., Johannesburg, South Africa, Digital Communication) shared an individual crown last week and because of that also shared the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week award Monday.

Coertze, now an eight-time honoree, picked up the first laurel of her senior year by tying co-POW Lindsey Mateer of Baker (Kan.) at the Columbia Classic with a 155 (78-77) in the 31-player field. Her efforts also helped William Penn secure its second team title this fall.

For the year, Coertze owns a 77.4 stroke average with all but two of her 10 rounds in the 70’s. She has not finished outside the top six yet this campaign.

The award is the second for WPU.
