Cheer Competes Twice at Central Methodist

Fayette, Mo.–The William Penn competitive cheer team needed two more scores under its belt to qualify for the postseason and received them last Sunday at the Central Methodist Invitational.

The Statesmen placed third out of four teams at the invite with a score of 52.01667, while Missouri Valley won the event at 78.7.

WPU also faced host CMU in a dual to gather is fourth and final needed score of the year. In the dual, the navy and gold were defeated 72.4-53.43333.

Next Up: William Penn travels to Baldwin City, Kan. Saturday to compete in the NAIA Regional Qualifier.
