Oskaloosa–Brittany Evans (Jr., Fernley, Nev., Business Management) played the best golf of her Statesmen career last week and was rewarded by being named Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week Monday.

Evans won the fourth weekly award of her career (second this year) after leading then-#17 William Penn to a dual win over Bellevue last Tuesday.

In the victory, the junior carded a two-round score of 146 (74-72), setting a new 36-hole personal best as well as tying her 18-hole mark. She was first in the 15-player field for her fifth career crown.

For the year, Evans owns a 77.6 stroke average in 16 rounds. A total of 10 of her rounds have been in the 70s with a low of 72 twice. She has won two tournaments and has been in the top 10 in five events.

The award is the sixth for WPU this year.
