Oskaloosa–Alan Douglas (Sr., Champaign, Ill., Lakeland CC) warmed back up last week and his efforts earned him Midwest Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors.

Douglas, a two-time career honoree, guided the Statesmen (12-10, 7-3 MCC) to two victories over AIB and Ashford last week.

The senior averaged 27.5 points and 9.5 rebounds, including a career-high 39 points in his team’s triple-overtime win over Ashford. He was 13-of-28 from the field (13-of-18 FT) in the victory and also poured in 16 points in the week’s other contest.

For the year, Douglas is averaging 20.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per matchup. He has also posted 65 assists, nine blocks, and 17 steals. A 48.6% shooter, Douglas is solid at the line (77.4%) as well. He has recorded nine double-doubles this season.

The award is the third for the program this year.
