Betty Ann Miller, age 80, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Mahaska County Hospital. She was born on January 13, 1944, in Winona, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Gertrude (Rockwell) Olson.

She attended Winona High School and graduated with the Class of 1962.

On December 1, 1962, she was united in marriage to Morris Miller. Morris passed away in November of 2021. Betty moved to New Sharon from Marengo in 2019 and later moved to Oskaloosa in 2021.

Betty did a lot of child care for smaller groups. She enjoyed working in the nursery at her church. She later took a job at McDonalds and truly enjoyed her time there. She retired after 5 years. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Belle Plaine. She enjoyed reading, crafting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Morris “Neal” (Susan) Miller of Oskaloosa and Marcy (Allen) Mabee of Oskaloosa; 6 grandchildren, Meghan Fisk (Jeff Stewart), Trevor (Kayli) Mabee, Ryan Mabee, Jesse Millikin, Andy (Dorothy) Roberts and Hannah Miller; 13 great- grandchildren; her sisters, Mary Benedict of Winona, MN; Peggy (Don) Moss of Winona, MN; Grace (Tim) Koehner of LaCrosse, WI; and James Olson of Winona, MN; and her in-laws, Albert Miller, Sue Todd, Virginia Crowder and Andy Miller.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Morris; her parents; a sister, Donna McKellips; a brother, William Olson; 1 aunt; 3 uncles and her mother and father in law.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19th, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19th, with Betty’s family present from 4:00 p.m. until service time at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Stephens Memorial Animal Shelter.
