Barnstormer Meet and Greet Tonight
The Iowa Barnstormers were in Oskaloosa and working hard Sunday morning
Oskaloosa, Iowa – The Iowa Barnstormers, an Arena Football team from Des Moines, started it’s training camp this morning at the Penn Activity Center.
Coach Hohensee spoke to Osky News this morning after practice ended. We asked him how the first day of practice went. “I thought it went extremely well. For having so many new guys I didn’t think we made too many mistakes. There was a couple of fumbled snaps that we’re going to have to work on, but I thought the veterans came back, they looked sharp, and I thought a few of the new guys did a good job.”

This evening the team will be eating supper at Napoli’s, located in Penn Central Mall.
The Meet and Greet will be held in the center court and will begin at 5:00 pm. The Barnstormers players, coaches, and members of the dance team will be on hand to meet and greet fans and sign autographs.
They will have ‘Oskaloosa Barnstormers’ shirts available, and a shirt cannon.
Other public events the team will be involved with are:
- February 19 – 5:00 pm – Penn Central Mall with games, autographs, pictures, Barnstormer Cheerleaders and the William Penn Band
- February 21 – 5:00 pm – Peppertree with games, autographs, pictures, WPU Cheerleaders and Willie P (William Penn Mascot)
- March 1 – 5:00 pm – Oskaloosa High School Cafeteria (for Oskaloosa FFA), $10 meal and a show – Rookie Night
- March 2 – 5:00 pm – Oskaloosa Christian School, $5 meal – Osky send off
