Ann Adams, 89, of Knoxville, passed away November 11, 2020, under Hospice Care at Vriendschap Village in Pella, Iowa. Phyllis Ann Adams, daughter of Robert and Margaret (Jordan) Seitz, was born February 22, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Ann married William Lewis Adams, October 12, 1952, in Garden Grove, Iowa. They made their home in Newton, Iowa, where Bill was employed at Maytag. After the kids were in school, Ann also began working as secretary to research and development at Maytag. Bill & Ann both enjoyed living in the country, bird watching, and maintaining the acreage. Ann was the family matriarch and loved to cook large meals and gather her family together. It was her pride and joy when all three sons were living close by and could gather together. Upon retirement, Bill and Ann traveled the Unites States extensively and took several cruises. Ann was a member of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Newton. In October of 2019, Bill and Ann moved to the Vriendschap Village in Pella.
