Mahaska County Conservation Board

Oskaloosa, Iowa – For many schools in the area, school is let out early on Wednesday, November 14. From 3:00 – 4:00 pm on this day, come out to the Russell Wildlife Area to participate in a fun program called “Amazing Snakes!” Participants of all ages are welcome to learn about snakes in Iowa and what makes them amazing animals. We will also let the snakes make each person a work of art to take home – yes, they paint pictures! This event is free and is for all ages.
