Grinnell’s Sinha, Kuhn are MWC Performers of the Week
GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Vidushi Sinha ’19, from Gurgaon, Haryana, India (Shri Ram School), has been named the Midwest Conference Women’s Golf Performer of the Week.
Sinha propelled Grinnell to victory at the D-III National Preview meet in Houston, Texas, as the Pioneers defeated 13 nationally-ranked teams and four others receiving votes for the rankings. She finished second in the 101-golfer field with a 149, golfing 75 the first day and 74 the second.
Additionally, Sinha earned a 6-and-4 victory in match play Saturday as the Pioneers blanked William Penn University 5-0.
GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s Kaylin Kuhn ’21, a 5-10 outside hitter from Bettendorf, Iowa (Bettendorf), has been named the Midwest Conference Volleyball Offensive Performer of the Week.
Kuhn, the national leader in kills and points per set, enjoyed a successful Saturday with a pair of double-doubles. Last year’s MWC Newcomer of the Year pounded down 19 kills and recorded 18 digs in a 3-0 win over Ripon College to open MWC play, and then had 13 kills and 10 digs against Central College. She is currently the NCAA Division III leader in both kills per set (4.91) and points per set (5.85).
