Last week we asked, “Do you prefer cake or cookies at Graduation Parties?”. The fun graduation themed question got 64 voters. Responding with 73%, or 47 residents, saying they preferred Cake; while 22%, or 14 residents, saying Cookies; and 5%, or 3 residents, saying they preferred neither. The Question of the Week poll is unscientific and does not reflect the views of Osky News.

This past week was one of controversy between the Israeli Government and the White House in regards to a recent speech given by President Obama.

In this speech, Obama said that in order for there to be future peace Israel should accept the borders of 1967, and for the most part those are the same borders set in the Armistice of 1949 after the Arab-Israeli War. The Six Day War saw further changes to the borders of Israel, with the exception of the Sinai Peninsula that was later returned to Egypt.

Supporters of the idea used President Bush’s nearly same speech back in 2008, where he outlined Israel going back to it’s 1949 borders, as an example of why they agree with President Obama.

Consolidation of the Palestinian Government with Hamas, a recognized terrorist group, and the belief that President Obama has snubbed the Israeli Prime Minister, on his recent trips to Washington, have many believing that the Obama Administration is hostile towards the Nation of Israel.

Christian groups and Republicans have stood behind Prime Minister Netanyahu in denouncing Obama’s stance that Israel must give up it’s territory, with Netanyahu stating vigorously that Israel will not give up it’s territories.
